Why is the path finding so TERRIBLE?

Seriously?

The bot does NOT move in a straight line, EVER. I just did the Demonic Escape HE in IWD and moving to Demonic Closure, the stupid bot actually ran down to where the Remorhaz is, doubled back and then moved up to the HE, instead of just following the path, like it should have, which would have been quicker. I've seen it do this in just about every map now and it's getting tiresome.

How long has it been since the library was updated? I checked the GitHub and it was updated a year ago, but the forum on here is dated 2016.

Ridiculous....

Here's the original link. The bot is using an A* path finding library, but I'm wondering if it's been updated. I only noticed recently how awful the path finding is, as I was editing the mapper and had it open. I mean, I always did the "Why is the bot going that way?" when watching it, but I never put it together, until I saw it making bad pathing decisions with the mapper open.
